Mossel Bay also has the right climate - with only 2 days of rainfall recorded during June and July for last year." The Paraguay Federation visited Mossel Bay and The Point Hotel in June of this year and as soon as Paraguay qualified for the World Cup against Argentina in September they confirmed that they wanted to base themselves in Mossel Bay and specifically at The Point Hotel. The Federation sets high standards and requirements for their teams accommodation and the hotel is gearing up for some major additions including a Wellness Centre which will have a Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam room. All of which will naturally be extremely beneficial to our future guests at the hotel. The staff is very excited about the impending visit and honour of hosting a team for such a prestigious event. Several members of staff have joined in with the Mossel Bay community, traffic officers, medical personnel etc and taken Spanish lessons through the University of Buenos Aires, run by Armiger Pty Ltd, which is currently providing training in Spanish as well as Portuguese. Staff will be armed with conversational Spanish with specific training in phrases relevant to the hospitality industry.
